Privacy

MangaTCT is made by LMB Technology. This page says what the app and this website keep, where your pages go when you ask for something that runs on our servers, and what we never do.

The short version

• Your chapters, pages and translations stay on your computer.
• An account holds your email, your username and your coins - nothing about what you translate.
• A page leaves your computer only when you run a step that uses our servers: the AI steps paid for with coins, or the hosted cleaner.
• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies, and nothing is sold.

On your computer

The app works on files you already have. Projects, page images, text boxes, translations and exports are saved in folders you choose, and stay there. The app runs without an account for everything it can do on your own computer.

If you sign in, the app keeps the sign-in on your computer, in a file only your user account can read. Signing out in the app deletes it. Your settings, fonts you add, and the app's window position are kept in the same folder.

Your account

An account is needed only for TCT Coins. If you make one, it is held by Firebase, a Google service:

• Sign-in. Your email address and a password (stored by Google, never by us in readable form). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address, and your name and profile picture as your Google account has them.
• Profile. The username you pick. It is the one thing about you other people could see.
• Coins. Your balance, and a history of every coin in and out: what it was for, when, and the name of the page a spend was for.
• Free coins. A note that an email address has had its free coins, kept as a one-way hash of the address rather than the address.
• Signing in the app. When you sign in to the app through this website, the website passes your sign-in to the app through our server. It is held for at most ten minutes and deleted as soon as the app collects it.

When your pages leave your computer

Only when you run one of these, and only the part that step needs:

• AI steps paid with coins - reading text, translating, proofreading. The page image or its text goes through our server to the AI company that runs the model you picked: Anthropic, Google (Gemini) or OpenRouter. It is handled there under that company's own terms.
• The hosted cleaner - the part of a page being cleaned goes through our server to our cleaning service, and the cleaned image comes back.

Our server does not store what passes through it. For each request it records which service was used, your account ID, whether it worked, its size and how many tokens it used - so coins can be charged and problems found - and not the content.

Payments

Coins are bought through Stripe. Your card or other payment details go to Stripe and never reach us. We keep what was bought and the reference Stripe gives us for your purchases, so the coins land on the right account and a refund can find its purchase.

This website

• No analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
• Your browser stores your light or dark choice, and, if you sign in, the sign-in Firebase needs to keep you signed in.
• The site and the account service run on Google's servers, which receive the ordinary details of every request, such as your IP address. The sign-in code is loaded from Google's servers too.
• The Fonts page shows previews loaded from Google Fonts.
• The videos on the Guide page are on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play on one.

Updates and downloads

The app checks for a new version by reading a file on GitHub, where the downloads are also kept, and fetches the models it needs from GitHub or from the models' own publishers. Like any download, those sites see your IP address.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent anything about you.
• We do not use your pages or translations to train anything.
• We do not share your information for advertising.

Your choices

• Sign out in the app, and the sign-in is deleted from your computer.
• Change your username on your account page, in the app or here.
• Delete your account on your account page on this website. That deletes your sign-in, your username, your coins and your coin history, and it cannot be undone. Two things stay: the one-way hash that says an address has had its free coins, so signing up again does not give them twice, and the records of past purchases that Stripe keeps.
